Dom Gavoty

Our Estate is located in Les Collines du Var, which is considered within the Côtes de Provence appellation as “the zone of extremes"-- both in terms of climate and relief, it is the zone which presents the highest averages in the appellation.
Located on TRIAS soils (TRIASIC plateau) the vineyard is planted in limestone and clay. These clays are endowed with a water retention capacity allowing the vineyard a better resistance to drought.
The dry and severe scrubland adjoins the vines, the only lush spot in the middle of summer.
Our vines are bordered by hills made up of holm and white oaks as well as pines, which makes them very attractive to the wild boar population... but also to the life of the soil and the animal population: preserving biodiversity has become for our estate , a priority: in 2018, we welcomed a goat farm in our woods (110 ha of forest).
The entire vineyard is made up of a single block. It is located entirely in the town of Cabasse.
