Lunaria Wine - Holistic, Connect to Earth
Cantina Orsogna was formed as a cooperative of 600 farmers in 1964, who all shared the same goal of conservation and a reverence for organic and biodynamic winemaking. This came in hand with the place - Majella National Park, one of the largest and most diverse parks in all of Italy. The farmers settled on this are to aid in their mission and have not looked back.
Lunaria wines were launched several decades later and were meant to evoke the initial goals of these farmers in a fun and charming way. Production is now fully biodynamic whilst supplying a world market.
Philosophy
The Lunaria line is perhaps one of the most impactful deals that can be found on the market today. These wines were meant to mix the authenticity of place and terroir with a strong and bold yet everyday personality.
Fully biodynamic, organic, and vegan, they are made from varietals that are intrinsic to Italian culture, showcasing the very best Abruzzo has to offer.
THE UNMISTAKABLE MARK OF LUNARIA BOTTLES IS THE ROPE BINDING, an ancient peasant practice passed down by grandparents, an orange thread (color of biodynamics) is applied by hand, bottle by bottle, to Lunaria wines for stopper closing.
