Our sunny, well-drained farms in the Bovlei Valley are extremely well suited to cultivate Chenin Blanc. Some grapes are harvested from young sites that yield fruit-forward characteristics, and others from older vineyards which yield fruit that express elegance. Two components of Chenin and a small component of Grenache blanc. Worth noting is Chenin made by drying the grapes in the sun for a week, before pressing and then fermenting. The component does not add to the residual sugar content of the wine -it does add to the flavor spectrum though. The component of skin contact adds texture and structure to the wine. Both components used to add appeal in terms of its adaptability with food and food enjoyment. The wine is kept on its lees and stirred to produce an intense, luscious palate and complex integrated nose.
